Plies’ Criminal Past Now In Question?

The witch hunt for made up past histories by rappers has now moved on to the, “Definition of Real,” Mr.Plies. HipHopDX did an extensive search to see if he was arrested for anything substantial in his life.


HipHopDX has obtained documentation from the state of Florida that lists the “definition of real” rapper’s first real run-in with the law to have not taken place until two years ago, on April 12, 2006, when Plies - real name Algernod Lanier Washington, born May 22, 1976 - would have been on the eve of his 30th birthday and just beginning his ascension to his current status of gold-certified rap star.

But there are the occasional past tense references to what appear to be claims of his own criminal activity. One glaring example can be found during his lament on the suffering his alleged criminal activities caused his mother on “Runnin My Momma Crazy,” in which he recollects: “Remember the nights, me sittin’ up in a cold cell/I’m wakin’ ya up out’cha sleep, it’s me callin’ you from jail.” While passionate, his verse’s claim that he was ever in a “cold cell” now appears to be untruthful, as according to the FDLE’s report Plies was never in jail for any period of time prior to 2006.

Lil Scrappy Reportedly Stabbed In Georgia

Atlanta rapper Lil Scrappy, whose real name is Darryl Richardson, was injured Friday night in a stabbing in DeKalb County.

A DeKalb County police spokesman said the 24-year-old Conyers rapper received a call from his sister stating she had been involved in an argument with her boyfriend. Authorities said Richardson went to his sister’s apartment and became involved in an altercation with his sister’s boyfriend.

The ugly incident over the ugly shirt took place at 8:30 p.m. in Union Square, Braun told Metro, when four African-American female teenagers accosted the student, cursed at her for her shirt and pushed her. According to the designer, the student walked away, but the girls followed her, one pulling the earphones out of her ears, another spitting in her face.

Former Chargers S Kiel dies in car crash

—Former San Diego Chargers safety Terrence Kiel was killed in a car crash, police said Saturday. He was 27.

According to a San Diego police spokesman, Kiel’s body was ejected from his 2004 Chevrolet sedan, which crashed into a wall in the Scripps Ranch neighborhood.

Kiel, who was driving alone after leaving a party at approximately 10:15 p.m. local time, was barely breathing by the time emergency paramedics arrived at the crash scene. He was pronounced dead at 11:28 p.m.

According to police, a female witness saw Kiel driving in the wrong direction before he lost control of the car. Toxicology tests will be performed to determine whether Kiel, who had a history of legal trouble, had been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A 2003 second-round draft selection, Kiel appeared in 59 games over parts of four seasons with the Chargers.

Following a 2006 campaign in which he started 15 games, Kiel was released by the Chargers in February 2007, when he pleaded guilty to felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

Kiel also was cited for public urination outside a San Diego nightclub in January 2007, a charge which ultimately was dropped.

(Effective July 1, 2008)

According to new law that became effective July 1, 2008 you will no longer be able to use a cell phone while driving on California streets and highways unless you have a "hands free" adapter.

I went to Circuit City and they wanted $50 for a headset with a microphone for my cell phone. Having a friend in the cell phone business, I talked with him and was able to come up with an alternative, working through Office Depot.

These kits are compatible with any mobile phone and one size fits all. I paid him $0.08 each and bought about a gross to pass out to all my friends.

"Wanted" & "Get Smart" Movie Review

So I Saw this movie the day it came out(kinda late on my review). I had high expectations and was excited to see this movie. The action was good no doubt and the fighting was not allot but most the movie was about mind games. I loved that the Fraternity he joined ended up being the bad guys, its a good change from the typical Matrix type movies. I also like they didn't really make a long dumb love story, which is typical in every movie these days, yes in one scene they kiss but that was just to make his ex girlfriend jealous. But Yeah overall the movie wasn't as great as i expected but still it was a good movie, so go see it. Its worth seeing in the theater.


Also late on this review, but this movie hands down was the best movie i seen this summer. Steve Carrel always makes me laugh he is a very talented actor, no matter what movie he is in he makes it fun. But yes this movie was good the action was good, somewhat cheese in some parts but still good scenes. Ann Hathaway was good in this movie they compliment each other well and work together well. I don't wanna give anything away just go see this movie its so worth it!!
